Welcome

The Sustainable Energy and Technology is under the coordination of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Bandung Institute of Technology. The Sustainable Energy and Technology develops expertise to build a scientific framework in the field of technology and management of chemical energy conversion and energy generation in the chemical process industry. We focus on:

  1. Development of science and technology for biomass and coal-based energy generation
  2. Development of science and technology for energy generation through electrochemical pathways
  3. Energy conservation in the chemical process industry
  4. Development of efficient process technologies in the use of materials and energy

Currently, Sustainable Energy and Technology is supported by 3 expertise laboratories and 2 workshops, namely:

  1. Thermofluidics and Utility Systems Laboratory
  2. Process Design and Control Methodology Laboratory
  3. Energetic Electrochemistry and Process Safety Laboratory
  4. Metal Workshop
  5. Glass Workshop

Our Research

Solid Oxide Fuel Cell

Hydrogen is predicted to shift main role of oil and gas. Fuel cell can effectively convert chemical energy in the fuel into electricity directly. Our research is aimed on Solid Oxide Fuel […]

Corrosion in CO2, H2S, and NaCl environments

Corrosion is major concern in plant maintenance. In the upstream oil and gas industries and many chemical plants, presence of Co2, H2S, and Cl ion induces severe corrosion on process equipments.

Biomass-based supercapacitors

Energy storage is important in the near future as electricity become backbone of our society. Supercapacitor give advantage for intermittent high-power-density storage. Our research prepare supercapacitor from waste of oil palm plantation […]
