welcome
Research Group on Energy and Chemical Engineering Processing System ITB is a research group under Faculty of Industrial Technology, Institut Teknologi Bandung. Our research group aims to develop a school of thought on technology and usage management of chemical conversion and energy generation in chemical process industries. We are focusing on:
- Developing science and technology of power generation using coal and biomass
- Developing power generation using electrochemical technology
- Energy conservation on chemical process industries
- Developing material and energy efficient processes
Currently, we are supported by 3 research laboratories and 2 workshops, namely:
- Laboratory of Thermofluids and Utility Systems
- Laboratory of Process Design and Control Methods
- Laboratory of Process Safety and Energetic Electrochemistry
- Glass Workshop
- Metal Workshop
Our Research
Solid Oxide Fuel Cell
Hydrogen is predicted to shift main role of oil and gas. Fuel cell can effectively convert chemical energy in the fuel into electricity directly. Our research is aimed on Solid Oxide Fuel […]
Corrosion on CO2, H2S, and NaCl environment
Corrosion is major concern in plant maintenance. In the upstream oil and gas industries and many chemical plants, presence of Co2, H2S, and Cl ion induces severe corrosion on process equipments.
Biomass-based Supercapacitor
Energy storage is important in the near future as electricity become backbone of our society. Supercapacitor give advantage for intermittent high-power-density storage. Our research prepare supercapacitor from waste of oil palm plantation […]
